We believe successful projects start with an open line of communication about the homeowner’s financial goals and desired end result. We meet one-on-one with each client and listen to the problems they are having with their home and come up with solutions for those problems. We will educate the homeowner abut what they can expect during the remodeling process as well as about Heartland Home Improvements so they can be confident they have made the right choice.

Step 1: Initial meeting with the client.

By using our unique Design, Plan, Develop and Review process, we are able to achieve the exact look you have in mind for your finished project, down to the last detail, and provide you with an exact price for that project, prior to the start of any work. We want to ensure you have a good understanding of what is included in the total project price. We generally do not work on allowances, instead, we work with you to have all of your material selections done prior to starting. If you need help envisioning your project, we are happy to offer extensive Design and Decorator services.

Step 2: Design and Project Planning.

1. Preliminary Design, Plan, Development and Review.

2. Product selection and material specifications.

3. Meeting with Trade Partners and Consultants.

4. Final project pricing.

Our firm price guarantee allows you to know exactly how much your project will cost prior to any work being done. We will outline the scope of the work to be done and give you an approximate time frame in which the project will be complete. We will educate you about any unforeseen issues that may arise and prepare you to work with us to create a finished project you can be proud of.

Step 3: Contract meeting.

1. Review proposal and statement of the work.

2. Review total project price and payment schedule.

3. Preliminary job schedule review.

4. Address any questions or concerns.

We know that the actual labor is only a small piece of why you choose Heartland Home Improvements for your project. We will have a project manager appointed to your project that will work closely with the Lead Carpenter to ensure your project is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Step 4: Project execution.

1. Pre-construction meeting.

a. Introduction of Lead Carpenter.

b. Review of plans and objectives.

c. Review customer expectations from Lead Carpenter.

d. Confirm product selections.

2. Project initiation.

3. Monitor and control of project.

a. Weekly project meetings.

b. Schedule updates.

c. Pre-close in meeting.

d. Pre-completion meeting.
